Nature Creates

So two pieces of wood, even from the same tree, are never exactly alike. Due to the differences in natural colour and grain, each piece of wood will react differently to the finishing materials used. This means that you may notice a slight difference in colour between several pieces. In addition, sound knots, slight surface cracks, and other imperfections are not seen as defects

Temperature & Humidity

Humidity Damage

Tips to remember for dealing with temperature and humidity in your home:

  1. The wood in your Royal Door Product has been kiln dried so that the humidity level is between 10-12%. If your home is in the process of being completed, things like dry-walling and ceramic tiling can raise the humidity level beyond 30%. Even the rough-hewn lumber can add humidity into the air.
  2. Introducing your Royal Door product into this environment causes the wood to soak up the humidity directly from the air. The added humidity will cause the wood to expand. Allow the glass to dry in order to ensure that the stains have completely disappeared. If the stains have disappeared then complete the cleaning with a glass cleaner.
  3. Finish the work in the home that that requires any humidity first.
  4. Employ the use of humidifiers to fully vent the moisture for the the air.
  5. Consider introducing the wood products being installed in your home at the same time so that all of the humidity can be dealt with, this includes wood trim , hardwood floors etc.
