What's the difference between prehung and slab doors?
A prehung door comes pre-assembled with the door, frame, and hinges already mounted together—it’s ready to install into a rough opening. This is ideal for new construction or when you’re replacing an entire door frame. A slab door is just the door panel itself, without any frame or hardware. Slab doors are perfect for “same opening” replacements where the existing frame is in good condition. Our team can help you determine which option is right for your project.
How do I choose the right casing and baseboard profile?
The right profile depends on your home’s style and personal preference. Traditional homes typically pair well with wider, more ornate profiles (like colonial or ogee), while modern and contemporary homes work best with simple, clean lines (like square or ranch profiles). As a general rule, match your casing and baseboard widths—wider baseboards (4-1/4″ or 5-1/4″) create a more dramatic, premium look, while narrower options (2-1/4″ to 3″) feel more subtle. Lead time for custom orders is typically 2-4 weeks depending on complexity.
Do you provide delivery and site measurement services?
Absolutely. We provide delivery across the GTA for a flat fee, and free delivery for orders over $2,000. We also offer showroom pickup in Concord if you prefer to collect your order. Our complimentary site measure service (for projects over $2,000) ensures accurate measurements before you order—reducing costly mistakes and ensuring a perfect fit.
